Get used to it

When you're desperate, you tend to come up with sunny ideas to keep you going, even if they're ridiculous. The current one I'm seeing is Democrats saying, "They'll be sorry they did this. Wait 'til they see." The Latinos aren't going to like it when their Grandma gets deported. The farmers aren't going to like it when they can't find workers. The suburbanites aren't going to like it when the price of eggs doesn't come down. They're all going to hate it when the bird flu kills off half their neighbors.

But all this is nonsense. The fools who voted for Caligula 2.0 are loving it so far, and they'll continue to love it for a long time. They will never, ever admit they're wrong.

As I've been saying for three months now, Putin won. America as we knew it is over, and it's not coming back. It's time to stop fantasizing about reversing the current course and start thinking about how you're going to get along in the new country in which you find yourself.
