Okay then, with that important point made, it's time to take a look at the upcoming action in our charity pro football underdog game. We're down to eight teams left; that means four games this weekend. There will be only two games next week, and that's it. Winners will be determined a week from Sunday.

Players have this slate to choose from this weekend, the "divisional" round. The underdogs are in caps. Two games are on Saturday, and two on Sunday, but all picks in our contest this week must be turned in to dogpdx24@gmail.com by the kickoff time of the first game, 1:30 p.m. PST Saturday.

Look at these point spreads. It could be a big weekend for somebody or somebodies in our game:

9.5  WASHINGTON at Detroit

8.5  HOUSTON at Kansas City

6  LOS ANGELES RAMS at Philadelphia

1.5  BUFFALO vs. Baltimore

Our latest standings (ever so tight) are here. The top three finishers on the 26th will get to steer prize money to their favorite charities. 

Now, here's where I need to give a little pep talk to the players down toward the bottom of our standings. Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? No. Play for pride, people. Quitters never win. Make believe you're running for Portland City Council, where you'd probably win due to "rank choice" voting.
