  1. In a few weeks good old Ron will leave his perch as chair of the Senate Finance committee, arguably one of the 10 most important positions in America. Can anyone share a single accomplishment he delivered over the past 4 years? I mean just one……anything come to mind?

    1. They got the "green" tax handouts passed. Plus more money for the IRS to go after the big-boy cheaters. But that ain't all that much, and it's going to be rolled back now. He was chair once before ('14-'15), and the results were similarly paltry.

    2. He was just the point man on those proposals. They were drafted by the machine. I doubt that he thinks much on his own.

    3. He agreed and supported Trump on raising Canadian timber tariffs from 10-25%, as there are still people in Oregon still making money like Wyden and your cities mayor. Fudging republicans......

    4. Wyden also managed to round-up most big tech into the Maga republicans House district in Eastern Oregon. Amazon, Google, Apple, Facebook. How come all of their Oregon locations are in solid "red" communities......hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

  2. Curious if Schumer will allow him to remain as ranking member on Finance moving forward? For God’s sake, could he be more ineffective? The D’s cherish seniority so maybe he keeps the minority gavel…..Clarence Thomas gets more “demand” letters for sure.

The platform used for this blog is awfully wonky when it comes to comments. It may work for you, it may not. It's a Google thing, and beyond my control. Apologies if you can't get through. You can email me a comment at jackbogsblog@comcast.net, and if it's appropriate, I can post it here for you.
