The Dude

Quincy Jones has died. He was 91. He was the thread that ran through Ella, Sinatra, Basie, Cannonball, Miles, Brother Ray, Lesley Gore, Aretha, Chaka, Michael, Ice-T, Celine, "We Are the World," and the Lionels (both of them). He wrote, arranged, conducted, produced, performed, and advised. His influence has been, and will be, enormous. The tributes will flow, but it will be hard to round up everything. RIP Q.

The platform used for this blog is awfully wonky when it comes to comments. It may work for you, it may not. It's a Google thing, and beyond my control. Apologies if you can't get through. You can email me a comment at jackbogsblog@comcast.net, and if it's appropriate, I can post it here for you.
