For the record

It's time to take my Portland election recommendations down from the sidebar here. I was 0 for 12 on the City Council, 0 for 2 on the county commission, and 0 for 1 on the contested county judgeship. Only my second choice for mayor won.

Tough, Jack: you're not a 501-c-3, or a public-employee union, or a race-specific money laundry, or even the City Club, or League of Women Voters (masters of the non-endorsement endorsement), or looney Democratic Socialists. You forgot that the 25-percent roboelection was specifically engineered to produce a radical result--and they told you that way back in 2021, when they might--just might--have been stopped. And here's the final irony: the munchkins were selected and voted into power by the same pols (minus Dan Ryan) who were swept away by the radical revolution.
    Justice...at last!
