Pounding the pavement
It's reassuring to see that this guy was out canvassing on this lovely Sunday:
He's my no. 1 for City Council. Mike Marshall is my 2 and Reuben Berlin is my 3.
I've decided not to rank Dan Ryan. He's had his shot. And I'm also leaving the rest of the candidates blank.
The voter's pamphlet will be here before you know it. And the ballots not far behind.
Bob seems to be a lot like most of the candidates. “I’m a good person and I’ll try hard”.
ReplyDeleteThat's pretty much the whole field. But if you look a little closer, he's endorsed by all of law enforcement, and he's not going to let the tent disaster drag on.
DeleteI struggle with ignoring the donation-swapping, even with good-seeming candidates like Simril. It was such an obvious violation to the spirit of the law. Makes me worry what else those candidates would be capable of in that vein.

Crazy that the Weed can't even get straight what district he's in. He's in 2, not 4. And so far, they say that he's made donations to other candidates, but they haven't tied him to the email exchanges in which various bozos agreed in writing to "donate" to each other. If the Secretary of State says he's broken the law, I won't vote for him.
DeleteThere is a good interview with Bob Simril from September 20th on the excellent Rational in Portland podcast hosted by Portland attorney Kristin Olson. She's interviewed several other Council candidates as well.
ReplyDeleteSimril is the best candidate across all 98 council district races.
