Coffee klatch

If Orange Caligula is re-elected, the mental incompetency he's displaying now will be ample grounds for invocation of the 25th Amendment by the Cabinet. J.D. Vance would become acting President for at least 21 days. And he could go longer, years even, if two-thirds of both houses of Congress agree that Trump is disabled. It would be hard to see the Democrats on the Hill sticking up for Donnie, and the far right would be perfectly fine with Vance; they'd probably prefer him.

  1. I've been saying for some time that the tech billionaire bros are behind Trump because they see him as a golden opportunity to put their bought-and-paid-for sycophant in the Oval Office without actually convincing a majority of voters that he should be there.

A President Vance is a President Marionette Puppet with Peter Thiel and Elon Musk holding the strings. And we already know what Vance thinks about Trump because he told us already - he wouldn't hesitate to cajole the yes-men that will be appointed to the cabinet and confirmed by a sycophant GOP majority Senate to kick Trump out to sea on an ice floe the instant he has the votes to sustain a 25th amendment challenge.

  2. Yeah, I was pondering the same thing this morning. Taken to its extreme, TJ gets three full terms.

    Or more.

    Yuck.

    1. It occurs to me as I watch the summary of his appearance at the Chicago Economic Forum trickle in that his voters KNOW he's unfit and a stain on the nation, but it brings them such joy to watch the rest of us wring our hands over the guy. Destroying the country to own the libs.

We shouldn't take any of these people seriously ever again.

    4. Meh. It's perfectly rational to swear off the Party of Trump forever. You should all be ashamed of yourselves.

    5. Rational is an interesting word. Some people think of it as fact.
      It's really just an opinion.

The platform used for this blog is awfully wonky when it comes to comments. It may work for you, it may not. It's a Google thing, and beyond my control. Apologies if you can't get through. You can email me a comment at jackbogsblog@comcast.net, and if it's appropriate, I can post it here for you.
