  1. No wonder people think Dems are condescending. I'm a college educated, middle aged moderate liberal and I had to google what the heck "prurient" and "puritanical" meant. After learning their meaning however, I do agree.

    1. A person is not condescending because they use words that you don't understand. In fact, it's just the opposite.

    2. Sorry that big words scare you, bud.

    3. When having and using an adult vocabulary is translated as condescending, you are talking to a person who (whether they realize it or not) is biased against education.

Can we stop dumbing shit down please? How about people look up words they don't understand, or attempt to understand them in the context which they are observed? Is this not taught in school anymore?

  3. I apologize I have always been naturally condescending even though my roots are pure white trash. Still in High School I wouldn't have had to look up 'Puritanical' since we had to read 'The Scarlet Letter' in freshman English. I'll give you 'Prurient' but it is the kind of word that pretty much means the way it sounds. My college education was at a State College that I attended while living at home and paying my tuition through a minimum wage job which was possible in the early 70's.

    1. You can still pay your state tuition with a minimum wage job. I did it three years ago.

The platform used for this blog is awfully wonky when it comes to comments. It may work for you, it may not. It's a Google thing, and beyond my control. Apologies if you can't get through. You can email me a comment at jackbogsblog@comcast.net, and if it's appropriate, I can post it here for you.
