  1. Never was a fan of the show, but this might be worth it. If I had to bet, it will be a lot more flattering than we would like seeing as these two are deeply entrenched in the blue mythos.

  2. I think it was 2013 my wife and our family went back to Pennsylvania to attend her 30th. High School Reunion. I remember a conversation with some of her classmates about our life in Portland which they seemed to assume that Portlandia was some kind of documentary and that we didn't use cash in Portland but bartered for everything. A few years later they did an episode on our block and we were asked if we wanted to participate as extras. We declined I really didn't like the way the show presented our city but everytime I see Fred Armisen on Late Night I like to declare, "Hey that guy stood on the sidewalk right in front of our house once."

  4. What is it with Oregon governors who dream up this ´first lady´ fantasy role that doesn´t actually exist in state law?

    1. It probably helps with domestic politics when you have the personality of a wet dishrag.

    3. Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dumb....at home at Mahonia Hall.

  5. The Mahonia Hall soap opera begins its second season, delayed for a few years. Husband and wife teaming up for very questionable goings on, outside the definition of the guv's duties and responsibilities. Stripped clean of aides and assistants, the struggling couple makes it up with each passing day. To hell with governing....we'll do it our way. Ain't love grand?....at the expense of Oregonians. Smacks alot like the first season. Low ratings.

The platform used for this blog is awfully wonky when it comes to comments. It may work for you, it may not. It's a Google thing, and beyond my control. Apologies if you can't get through. You can email me a comment at jackbogsblog@comcast.net, and if it's appropriate, I can post it here for you.
