The Thursday/Friday underdog game post

While America roasts its turkeys, the Big Daddies of pro football are out on the gridiron pounding each other like steak for braciole. And there are some big underdogs going at it on both Thursday and Friday, which means that players in our charity underdog game will be rooting for them. This post, which is originally going up at kickoff time of the first Thursday game, will be updated when I can get to it throughout Thursday and Friday, with the relevant action in our game.

The first bird 'dog of the weekend has drawn some interest among our 'dognosticators:

7.5  GREEN BAY at Detroit (Thursday, 9:30 a.m. PST) – Meow, Shoeshine Boy, Linda

The second game of the day will kick off at 1:30 West Coast time.

UPDATE, 12:45 p.m.: Green Bay won, leading all the way. Nice pickup for three players.

UPDATE, 1:35 p.m.: We have takers for the second game as well:

11  WASHINGTON at Dallas (Thursday, 1:30 p.m. PST) – J-Dawg, Stephen F.

UPDATE, 5:21 p.m.: Oof! The second 'dog was unsuccessful. The night 'dog has quite a few fans, though:

7  SEATTLE vs. San Francisco (Thursday, 5:20 p.m. PST) – Kosar19, Oredogger, Dangerruss, andypdx, Air, Beakie

UPDATE, Thursday night: The third turkey ’dog was not relished.

UPDATE, Friday, 1:15 p.m.: Today we have the rarely seen Fri-'dog:

UPDATE, Friday, 3:35 p.m.: The J-E-T-S Jets Jets Jets L-O-S-T lost lost lost. Game resumes Sunday.
