On the hook
The blogger FidelityPDX doesn't post too often, but when he or she does, hoo boy, it's a doozy. The latest post, today, is entitled "What is going on with Portland’s towing and Zombie RV mess?" and it's fascinating stuff.
Like so many folks, this writer has strong views, but unlike what a lot of us put out, Fidelity's posts usually have some serious research behind them. Today's piece is some 4500 words' worth, and so you may want to take a seat before opening it, but as usual, it's a tale worth reading and thinking about.
Some time ago my car was stole. It was discovered in an upscale neighborhood and the perpetrator was captured on that spot. The police called me to retrieve the car at the same time they called RETRIEVER TOWING to tow it. I suspect the towing/storage fee I had to pay contained a commission to someone.
ReplyDeleteJack come on over to reddit.com/r/PortlandOR, you'll like the atmosphere (mostly). Fidelity posted it there, too.
ReplyDeleteHe's one part Rhett Butler (an unlikely ally profiting from Portland's war on cars) and another part Tony Soprano.
ReplyDeleteLawmakers are way too busy passing laws to restrict free speech and the right to bear arms than protect citizens from criminals. Plus they hate cars, so you shouldn't even be parking anywhere.
ReplyDeleteHate speech and assault weapons should be outlawed. They are not in the same category as driving a car.
ReplyDeleteYou’re the reason the bill of rights needs protection
Delete"Assault weapons" is a BS term. A hammer is an assault weapon if you mean to smash somebody's head in.
