Angel in Mount Angel

A while back a reader pointed me to a fascinating interview with a writer named Ted Gioia. His work centers on music but has a wide orbit. Gioia's thoughts on the future of music were so interesting that I signed up for his Substack column, which is a tiny financial commitment but one I rarely make. So far I haven't been disappointed.

Today he writes about an Oregonian, Therese Schroeder-Sheker, who stands out as a true visionary of sound. I don't know if you can get through to the story with this link, but if you can, it's well worth a few minutes to read.
