Ain't that America, somethin' to see, baby
The battle to succeed Jamie Herrera Beutler in the Congressional district in and around the 'Couve got the big play in the New York Times on Sunday. Not much there than alert locals didn't already know, though.
I don't think Gluesenkamp Perez has a shot. Maybe abortion will tip it in her favor, but I doubt it. The longand the short of it: She has no money.
Perez is facing strong headwinds even if she had adequate campaign funding — in the primary, Republican candidates received nearly twice as many votes as Democrats did.
ReplyDeleteThe Toilet Paper of record, labels anyone running as a Republican as far-right. I guess trying to get a handle on crime, government overreach and restoration of individual liberties (lefties used to think that is a good thing) is considered way too radical. The NYT loves a socialist soft technocratic world where they get to tell everybody how to live.
ReplyDeleteAnd all it takes a little bit of fascism to get there.
DeleteYes, the NYT is a bunch of socialists. Watch Fox News! A much better world awaits you.
DeleteFascists, the new slur term, is factually far leftest groups with support of the ruling class. Hitler and Mussolini started as socialists before being allowed by the fat cats to become dictators.
DeleteWhere do you honestly come up with this garbage? A scholar you are not. Fascists were really leftist socialists in disguise….when you think you’ve heard everything some new garbage skews forth.
DeleteRestoration of individual liberties, such as being able to marry who you like, express yourself with the gender identity you know yourself to be, and the individual liberty to choose to carry a child to term? Yeah that sounds exactly like the Republicans of 2023.
DeleteDo you really think anyone is buying that rot?
I remember fascism in the early ‘40s.
ReplyDeleteI wish people using the word would do their own homework
Read this piece the other day. Perez actually seems like a great candidate for a rural district. Trumpy Joe Kent actually wants to prosecute Dr. Fauci for murder…The GOP has lost touch with reality. How does this end?
DeleteWell, it isn't gonna end with Perez winning, I'm afraid.
