A master sight reader
Can you imagine? You played guitar on the Phil Spector Christmas album. You played the ukulele on "Raindrops Keep Fallin' on My Head." You're on guitar on the Byrds' "Mr. Tambourine Man."
A drummer you worked with a lot was Hal Blaine. You were in the studio musician group that later came to be known as the Wrecking Crew. Unsung talent, all of you.
You were Bill Pitman, who lived to 102 before dying the other night at home down in the Southern California desert. Born in Belleville, New Jersey; I know it well.
Thanks to you, sir. It must be something to have some of the greatest recordings of all time as just stops on your busy weekday schedule tooling around L.A.

The platform used for this blog is awfully wonky when it comes to comments. It may work for you, it may not. It's a Google thing, and beyond my control. Apologies if you can't get through. You can email me a comment at jackbogsblog@comcast.net, and if it's appropriate, I can post it here for you.
