The platform used for this blog is awfully wonky when it comes to comments. It may work for you, it may not. It's a Google thing, and beyond my control. Apologies if you can't get through. You can email me a comment at jackbogsblog@comcast.net, and if it's appropriate, I can post it here for you.
I bought tickets to see Bob Weir and Don Was in Eugene this fall. Second row in the mezzanine. $80 a pop. Should be a fun couple of nights.
ReplyDeleteThe Bruce thing is a debacle of the highest order. He's insulated from it though. Stevie, who's VERY active on Twitter, has said he's not gonna get into it. Seems this is how it's going to be. Contracts have been signed and the whole thing is in motion.
I've had two "one last time" shows with The Boss. I'm content to not see him again. For $1500, I can go see Jason Isbell's entire October run at The Ryman in Nashville. I might just do that instead.
Don Was? Wow, you can't go wrong. I won't soon forget that night with the whole band at the Wonder Ballroom. RIP Sweet Pea.
DeleteEntertainment has gotten a lot more expensive since the 'service charge' people embedded themselves.
ReplyDelete*"convenience" charge: a LMAO moment when I first saw that used twenty some odd years ago.
DeleteI think that my very first concert was a whopping $2. It was for The Ramones with Tom Petty as a support act. Anything over about $60 nowadays would be too much for me. Especially since most of the bands that I like are either retired, or are past their prime and not worth the price anyway.
