Ain't never caught a rabbit
They billed it as Super Wild Card Weekend, but it was neither super nor wild. Leading up to it, I gave in to the hype, remarking about how many upsets there had been the last couple of years at this stage of things. I think I jinxed the underdogs.
Only one 'dog won, the smallest one, netting 3 points for three of our stronger players. Four of the five 'dog losses were blowouts, not really worth wasting time watching. And not that it matters in our game, but none of the losing 'dogs even covered their spreads. Now, that thar is boring.
But the one 'dog victory shifts things around a bit near the top of the board in our charity game. Here are the standings with just two weeks to go:
Last week rank | This week rank | Player | Point total |
1 | 1 | Mad Dog | 60 |
3 | 2 | Meow | 56.5 |

The players will have four games to choose from this coming weekend, assuming that none of the contests are so close as to be pick-'ems in the eyes of the Las Vegans. Once again, ALL picks will be due on Saturday at kickoff time for the first game, 1:30 p.m. PST.

The platform used for this blog is awfully wonky when it comes to comments. It may work for you, it may not. It's a Google thing, and beyond my control. Apologies if you can't get through. You can email me a comment at jackbogsblog@comcast.net, and if it's appropriate, I can post it here for you.
