ReplyDeleteSorry, but I disagree. It has been 'officially' winter since November 1. The solstices and equinoxes are the midpoints of their respective seasons. Brush up on your Shakespeare. My understanding is that winter will be 'officially over' come Ground Hogs Day (aka Imbolc)...the first week of February. So, the solstice is Midwinter.
