The Thurs-Dog delivers
It was a major sweat, and the mishaps down the stretch deserve a Warren Commission inquest, but Green Bay, the underdog, defeated Arizona this evening, earning 6 points for no fewer than eight players in our charity pro football underdog game. That puts our standings, as of Friday morning, as follows:
1 | PDXileinOmaha | 27 |
2 | JC | 26.5 |
3 | Gordon | 25.5 |
4 | Evil O | 23 |
5 | Buster Douglas | 22.5 |
6 | pdxTrojan | 21 |
7 | Kosar19 | 20.5 |
7 | Mad Dog | 20.5 |
9 | DB | 19 |
10 | Mojo | 18.5 |
11 | Eric | 15.5 |
12 | Micah | 15 |
13 | TJ | 14.5 |
14 | Bad Picker | 14 |
15 | No Chance in Hell | 13.5 |
16 | Drew | 11.5 |
17 | CrimsonCrud | 11 |
17 | Meow | 11 |
19 | Paul | 6 |
20 | SteveO | 3.5 |
21 | Annie B. | 0 |
The players shown in italics were not involved in this evening's contest, and so of course they have a chance to pick up points this weekend or on Monday night. The slate of games is here. Good luck to the italicized.
IMPORTANT NOTE: In the last standings published, on Sunday night, four players who won last week with Indianapolis (Eric, Evil O, Kosar19, and No Chance in Hell) were given only 3 points for their victory, instead of the 3.5 points to which they were rightfully entitled. That error is corrected in the standings shown here. Sorry about the omission of the 0.5, which I have learned the gamblers call "the hook."
Players, if you ever see anything else erroneous in the standings, please do let me know. Even the underdog game has "further review."

The platform used for this blog is awfully wonky when it comes to comments. It may work for you, it may not. It's a Google thing, and beyond my control. Apologies if you can't get through. You can email me a comment at jackbogsblog@comcast.net, and if it's appropriate, I can post it here for you.
