Schrader the Traitor strikes again
He's everywhere. Unfortunately. Now the Salem congressman is blocking a Democratic Party proposal to allow Medicare to negotiate prices with Big Pharma. It's an obscenely bad look, especially since he takes a ton of campaign dough from the drug companies. But that doesn't phase old Kurt.
Schrader and Peters are among the two biggest recent Democratic recipients of pharmaceutical industry donations, according to OpenSecrets. The industry is collectively the second biggest donor to both lawmakers over the course of their careers, giving both of them more than $1.7 million in total....
Schrader’s longtime top aide, Paul Gage, left the congressman’s office earlier this year, according to Legistorm, and quickly started lobbying for Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA), the powerful Washington drug lobby.
Gage has been lobbying Congress on drug pricing issues and H.R. 3, according to ethics records. PhRMA raised more than $500 million in 2019, and the organization is one of the top lobbying spenders in D.C.
Kurt Schrader is an embarrassment to Oregon. He really, really needs to go.

The platform used for this blog is awfully wonky when it comes to comments. It may work for you, it may not. It's a Google thing, and beyond my control. Apologies if you can't get through. You can email me a comment at jackbogsblog@comcast.net, and if it's appropriate, I can post it here for you.
