Botic van de Zandschulp
... is not a name I'd want to have. But he's in the quarterfinals of the U.S. Open tennis tournament. He took out the 11-seed, Diego Schwartzman of Argentina, yesterday.
Van de Zandschulp is from the Netherlands. He's 25 years old. He has never been to the United States before.
Meanwhile, the teenagers won again. Leyla Fernandez beat Angie Kerber, and Carlos Alcaraz defeated Peter Gojowczyk, who's seemingly almost twice young Carlos's age.
It's halftime. A week to go. Snidely Whiplash plays again today.

The platform used for this blog is awfully wonky when it comes to comments. It may work for you, it may not. It's a Google thing, and beyond my control. Apologies if you can't get through. You can email me a comment at jackbogsblog@comcast.net, and if it's appropriate, I can post it here for you.
