Clackistan, the disaster
Clackamas County has been declared a federal disaster area with regard to the vicious winter storm of February. Up here in Portlandia, it was cold enough that we got some nice snow and only a little of the dreaded freezing rain. But down Clacky way, and in several other counties south of here, it was warm enough aloft to inflict freezing rain all the way. That stuff did its icicly, havoc-wreaking thing, big time.
Anyway, Uncle Sam's belated acknowledgment of how bad it was is here. For you lottery players out there, it was disaster 4599.

The platform used for this blog is awfully wonky when it comes to comments. It may work for you, it may not. It's a Google thing, and beyond my control. Apologies if you can't get through. You can email me a comment at jackbogsblog@comcast.net, and if it's appropriate, I can post it here for you.
