Slippin' into darkness
I see that the anarchists have tracked down Portland Mayor Dud Wheeler's new home address and published it, along with threats of bodily harm, on Twitter. If I were the mayor, I'd go total law-and-order on their asses, but you know he won't. In fact, old Dud is showing around a budget that cuts police spending.
Meanwhile, I see that the ACLU is jumping on him for asking residents to rat out the rioters' license plate numbers. The CivLibs and commissioner Jo Ann Hardesty take exception to the mayor's actually planning to arrest and prosecute the black-clad avengers of all societal wrongs (BCAOASW).
I guess the ACLU is fine with the state of Portland these days. Hardesty seems to reveling in it. The revolution is at hand! Whatevs.
We had one person die in the street "protests" last summer. I hope we can hold it to that this year, but it's not looking good. If you set the over/under at 1.5, then sadly, I'll take the over.

The platform used for this blog is awfully wonky when it comes to comments. It may work for you, it may not. It's a Google thing, and beyond my control. Apologies if you can't get through. You can email me a comment at jackbogsblog@comcast.net, and if it's appropriate, I can post it here for you.
