The virus is partying, too

Not to harp on this on an otherwise wonderful day, but today's Covid numbers in Oregon are alarming.

The new-case numbers are through the roof.

Statewide, there were 988 new cases reported today alone.

In the last 10 days, Oregon had 58 Covid deaths. That's the worst 10-day period ever.

I think we're beyond the "wear a mask" point. It's more like "everyone stay home."

Which won't happen. People are in denial, and the politicians are unwilling to take the responsible step of shutting everything all the way down.

So protect yourself and others. Don't be a number. This is no time to start fooling around with this. Please party safely.
