Down and dirty

I just noticed that on my ballot are three contested races for directors of the East Multnomah Soil & Water Conservation District. Do any readers out there have any thoughts on these races? The voters' pamphlet doesn't seem to have much information.

And while you're up, could you remind me what this district does?

UPDATE, a couple of days later: Friends have recommended Jasmine Zimmer-Stucky, Laura Masterson, and Rick Till. Sounds good to me.
